New public toilet in the Cotswolds
Client: West Somerset District Council
Opened: July 2005
The quaint village of Watchet is located in equally appealing natural surroundings, on the coast and bordering Exmoor National Park.
The town’s harbour, which is credited with inspiring Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s poem The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, has now been converted into a marina. During redevelopments, the previous public toilet was taken out of use.
It quickly became clear that a replacement was necessary. Once again, Danfo was chosen for our flexible design options.
This Tetragon was built in Sweden, but given its cladding of local Cotswold stone on site.
